What to submit:

- Official transcripts from all previous colleges you have attended
- An official Joint Services Transcript (JST) or a Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) Transcript
- A high school transcript (if you are under the age of 21 and have accrued less than 24 transferable hours)
- CLEP (if applicable)

Fayetteville State University offers a free preliminary evaluation of prospective students' intended major. Prospective students will need to provide all prior college transcripts, including any military transcripts, in order for the counselor to provide the evaluation

We offer:
- A diverse community that welcomes many service members, veterans, ROTC cadets, and military families. Military-affiliated students comprise nearly 30% of FSU's student population, compared to 3-5% at peer institutions.
- A proven roadmap for navigating military benefits and maximizing affordability. We make sure you get the help you need—and deserve. We enroll more GI Bill and Military Tuition Assistance students than any other four-year Historically Black College or University (HBCU).
- A tried-and-true team of veterans who lead our military outreach and programs. We anticipate what you need because we've been there ourselves. Our FSU team includes veterans and former military leaders.

Providing students with a civilian education that’s accessible and flexible is a big part of what we do. We offer extensive online learning options and an academic experience aligned with student needs—for recent high school graduates and adult learners alike.
Programs that meet your needs:
- Flexible course options encompass online, evening, and concentrated (eight-week) classes.
- Undergraduate programs feature 12 online degree completion programs.
- Graduate programs include two online degree completion programs.
Active-duty members stationed at Fort Liberty can access programs through our Fort Liberty Campus, enabling them to learn right where they work and live.
Making college affordable for you is important to us. A public university within the UNC System, FSU offers students low tuition rates and numerous scholarship options. We work hard to connect you with the help you need, providing competitive financial aid packages.
Ninety percent of FSU students receive some form of financial aid.

Dr. Cierra Griffin
Dr. Cierra Griffin serves as FSU’s Executive Director for Adult Learners, Transfer, and Military Students. Her office supports all of FSU’s non-traditional student population to include adults age 25 and older, transfer students and military-affiliated students. The Office for Adult Learners, Transfer, and Military Students, affectionately called the Office for ATM, supports students by way of policy creation, programming and advocacy.
Prior to joining the Bronco family Dr. Griffin worked in the North Carolina Community College System for 7 years and 3 years in the State University System of Florida. Dr. Griffin is a 12 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force Reserve and the North Carolina Army National Guard.

Veronica Alexander is FSU’s Director for Military Services. She leads the university’s outreach and work with military-affiliated students at Fort Liberty. Veronica also serves as advisor to the Student Veterans of America chapter on FSU’s campus.
Veronica’s military connection: Veronica is a retired Command Sergeant Major in the U.S. Army.

We offer an array of services to help you succeed once you become a student at FSU, such as:
- Academic supports, including academic advising, tutoring, and writing services
- Community resources regarding childcare, housing, and more
- Connections to other military-affiliated students through FSU's Student Veterans of America chapter. Our SVA chapter includes active-duty members of the military, veterans, ROTC cadets, and military spouses or children.
- Bronco One Stop: For general questions or concerns
- Advising Center: Schedule an appointment with your advisor
- Student Success Learning Center: Free academic support and tutoring
In addition, our Military Affiliated and Veteran Student Resource Center, located in the Broadwell College of Business and Economics, suite 230, provides our military-affiliated students with comprehensive onsite supports, including:
- Help with class registration and academic advising
- Mental health counseling
- Financial advice
- Counseling and processing for VA/Department of Defense benefits and financial aid
- Enrollment support and access to VA certifying officials
- VA Work Study opportunities
- Study spaces
- Social events
- Mentoring through American Corporate Partners (for military, veterans, and active-duty spouses)
FSU offers additional support to military-affiliated students through the Office for Adult Learners, Transfer, and Military Students, designed to provide assistance to undergraduates who are 25 and older. If this describes you, you'll fit right in here: 50% of FSU students are over the age of 24.
